Experience
Stuart Conrad is a difficult man to keep up with. Why? His professional career is so multi-layered and decorated that you may think multiple men are at the reigns of his career. But the truth is, Stuart is a product of passion, dedication, and applied intelligence. He has spent years in the communications field, including management positions in Investor Relations and Corporate Planning at MCI. He has also served as a Communications Officer with the U.S. Air Force, and his final active-duty assignment was as Chief Intelligence and Computer Systems Officer for the USAF Tactical Air Command, Langley, AFB, VA. Here, he was recognized as the top Communications and Computer officer for the U.S. Air Force. After leaving active duty, he continued to serve as a member of the Air Force Reserves where his final assignment was Chief, White House Liaison Branch under President George H. W. Bush.
Stuart was also the co-founder and Managing Partner of Advanced Image Resources, LLC, a Georgia-based company that focused on developing, manufacturing and distributing bio-based solutions for the printing industry. The business received the Presidential Green Chemistry Award, and the company’s products were distributed globally through several industry leaders. Shortly after his seven-year stint as Managing Director and Head of the North American Telecommunications Research Group at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown., Stuart co-founded 3 Squared Capital Advisors in 2000. In this capacity, he was selected as a Wall Street Journal “All Star” for stock picking.
Stuart received additional recognition as a leading analyst from Greenwich Associates, Zachs Investment Research, and Buy Side Magazine. Stuart’s extensive transactional and financing experience in working with companies operating in the telecommunications sector has solidified him as a leader of the pack. He has been a frequent guest on CNBC, Fox Business Journal, and CNN where he has shared his in-depth and first-hand knowledge of the telecommunications industry.
Stuart received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and a Masters Degree in Corporate Finance from the College of William and Mary. He was also awarded the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 1994. Stuart Conrad’s career in telecommunications, finance, and entrepreneurship is the outpouring of the undercurrent of his love for numbers, knowledge, and rising to the top.
His love of finance began when he was only seven years old — his dad purchased him his first shared stock in McDonald’s.
As a child, this ignited a passion in his bones for a variety of (obvious) reasons. From there, Stuart loved watching the money grow, constantly applying himself to learn the ins and outs of the financial world. He worked hard to learn how to relay seemingly complicated information at a level that the layperson can consume and apply, and his life work is dedicated to his constant desire to learn more so he can pour out his wisdom to others.
